Navigating Conflicts of Interest
with Clarity and Confidence! 🧭

About
A conflict of interest is when a board member’s personal interest is in competition with what is best for the organization. This workshop teaches you how to spot conflicts of interest and what to do about them. We will use real stories from the community (anonymized, of course) and explore how these conflicts, sometimes unavoidable, can be handled in ways that reflect a spirit of respect, reciprocity, and also comply with the B.C. Societies Act

Who should attend?
Friendship Centre Board Members, Senior Leadership who interact with Friendship Centre Boards (EDs, Finance Directors), and Friendship Centre staff.

Format
