Workshops on Trauma informed Communication, Proposal Writing, and Project Management

IN PERSON EVENT – Two Day Workshop Event
November 30 & December 1, 2023 | Richmond, BC

Deadline to Apply: October 27, 2023 | 1:00pm PDT

BCAAFC will reimburse for all travel for at at least one staff per Friendship Centre. These workshops have a hard limit of 25 participants. Extra spots per Friendship will be based on availability. We will confirm extra spots and any additional details after the deadline.

All workshops are very interactive, with participants given many opportunities for interactions and movement, as well as working/developing skills on specific areas of interest.

After completing the registration process, you will be provided with additional course and travel information.

Day 1: Communication – Basic & Trauma Informed

Provides the basic elements of good communication and provides a brief discussion and examples of what is and is not respectful communication.

Day 2: Proposal Writing/Project Management

Provides the basic elements of proposal writing, with an opportunity to work on a current proposal submission (or one will be provided). Includes basic elements of understanding financial reporting and statements.
